For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. This is one of the scriptures that ministers use to condone the saying don’t despise small beginnings. But oh, what a wonderful life it is, when you choose to study the Word of GOD and the word reveals truth. GOD has an absolutely wonderful way of revealing scriptural truths through the Spirit of Truth. So, let’s see what the Spirit of Truth reveals about the saying, “Don’t despise small beginnings or the day of small beginnings.”
The scripture mean, who hath disrespected the day of our youth and I Timothy clarifies the scripture. Therefore in studying the saying has revealed that there is no scripture that says don’t despise small beginning. The context that it is preached has nothing to do with the bible. Individuals are taking the Word out of context, rewriting the scripture, and twisting it. How many times have you listened to a sermon on don’t despise small beginnings and because of individual’s emotions, they scream in excitement at this erroneous teaching?
I Timothy 4:12 says “Let no man despise (think against, disrespect) thy youth …, is another scripture that individuals use to circumvent truth and to excite people by preaching don’t despise small beginning when in fact there is no scripture that says that. Please keep in mind that despised in these scriptures means to disrespect, disesteem, to think against.
No need to disrespect our youth, GOD knew exactly what each one of us had to live with and go through.
