Come As You Are, But Where Are You Going

I have a question for you, would you believe everything that I say? Do you believe everything a minister says? Do you believe everything a preacher says? If YES, please let me know so I can pray for you.

In the midst of my studying, I decided to search for what the church says is a scripture, the saying, “Come as you are.” I searched the word come and found out it is in the bible 2267 times. I also found out that the words come as you are, are in the bible 27 times but it is never quoted in that order.

No one seems to know how this saying came from, but we do know that it has been used a lot to comfort many men to maintain their female followers. Somewhere along the line church became more about keeping the women in church, rather than keep the women in GOD.

Isn’t it amazing how people wear certain clothes to work, to sleep, to sports games, to picnic, to go swimming, to school but multitude after multitudes of churches decides that they don’t care how you dress, just come as you are. Now if we actually took time to study the Word of GOD we would find out that we should dress modest. WOW, did I say that!!! Modest only mean to dress yourself displaying good behavior, decorous (good taste, restrained, polite).
