Let’s take a close look at this particular scriptures so that we may recognize the importance of understanding where devils reside in us and how they reside outside of us.
24, When the unclean (foul) spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry (no water) places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house (temple, dwelling, family) whence I came out.
25, And when he cometh, he findeth it swept (brushed off) and garnished (adorned).
26, Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked (evil) than himself; and they enter in and dwell (inhabit) there: and the last state of the man is worse than the first.
This scripture give us a closer look at the fact that devils dwell inside us (our house) and when they come out of us, they walk (spirits walking), through dry places (the earth). Ungodly spirits are limited in their abilities and cannot be everywhere, they are limited to one person, place at a time. ONLY GOD has the power to be everywhere at all/any time(s). These devils cannot find rest walking in the earth because they need water to pollute. Each of our bodies consist of blood and about 60%/75% of water. Every spirit (clean or unclean) resides in our blood and utilizes the water in us to cleanse or pollute us. The scripture say that the Messiah gave himself for the church so that he might sanctify and cleanse us with the washing of water by the Word and if we refer to Adam and Eve, we understand that it was the word of Satan that defiled her. Spiritual words have to the power to cleanse or pollute individuals.
When we go back to the beginning, Genesis 1:1 & 2, the scripture shares with us that darkness was upon the face of the deep (water, the abyss) and the Spirit of GOD moved upon the face of the waters. So before GOD kicked Satan out of Heaven HE first created the heaven and the earth and that darkness (death, wickedness, sorrow) was upon the face of the deep (water, the abyss) and the Spirit of GOD moved upon the face of the waters. This allows us to understand that Satan’s power is the deep waters and GOD’S power is the face of waters. Satan could not come out of the deep without the permission of GOD because GOD’S power covered the waters. GOD permitted Satan (also called Sea Dragon) to come out of the water to walk the earth. Satan no longer could enter back into the water without GOD’S permission so he found another source of water, people.
Once we begin to understand how a process works, we can begin to walk in truth, health, power and wisdom.
We can also see this clearly when we study Luke 8:26-39, the devil called Legion didn’t want to go to dry places and requested of Jesus to be sent to the deep. Jesus knew that they were seeking water so he allowed them to enter into the swine and they ran violently down into the lake.
But when devils can’t find any rest because of dry places they will go back to where they came from. They know if your house (body) has no Word, no power, no cleansing. When they see that your house only has outward manifestations of cleanliness, that devil goes and get seven more spirits more wicked than him to pollute your water. How you’re worst off than you were the first time.
