DEMONS

It’s late in the evening and I’m resting in bed studying my King James Holy Bible when I come across the the scripture that talks about whatsoever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. I immediately started thinking about all the times in church that I had the opportunity to bind demon and loose the Holy Spirit. I remember some church services where people were slain in the spirit (which I never believed in) but they did. I often wondered if people did that because others did and why didn’t people fall out back in days? Well, that is a subject for another post.

Any who, 🙂 I started thinking about demons and looked up the word in my Strong’s Concordance and guess what. Demon(s) is not in the scriptures. I could not find demons anywhere so I decided to look up the etymology and the word demon originally meant deity, genius. It stated it most likely came from the Greek verb to divide, distribute. This is another one of those words that the world infiltrated the church with and the “church” accepted it. It seems like the church eagerly accepts worldliness.

However if you look up the word in the holy bible, it is no where to be found. Then I looked up what did Jesus cast out and noted that Jesus casted out unclean spirits and devils. So if Jesus casted out unclean spirits and devils, why doesn’t the church follow Jesus if we are followers of Him. Maybe we are followers of Him but we aren’t followers of His Word.

I am learning so much as a student of the Word and I have decided not to cast out any more demons but to actually follow Yeshua Hamashiach and cast out unclean spirits and devils. What about you, will you follow Jesus or will you follow or continue to follow the world.
