The best answer I got if money is a seed is that it’s a seed because people believe it’s a seed.

It’s not biblical but people believe it’s a seed.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

This is truly one of the most used scriptures that people use comfortably. Everyone has heard you reap what you sow and  he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

We (the church, that including me) repeat what we hear from people we trust. We don’t think about it because we trust the holy spirit and we know that person is anointed. I have ministered this subject for years, but then the day came when I asked a question and that question provoked me to study for myself.

I know people are going to hate me, be mad at me, etc but my heart is that we preach God’s truth, not try and please man.

Too many people are lacking and not prospering. Too many people in need. Too many people not taught truth about money. Too many people have dreams that aren’t coming to fruition. Too many small churches are suffering. Too many pastors are closing their church doors. TRUTH MUST BE TOLD.

The gospel of Greed, sow your Seed, started with Oral Roberts after World War II and became popular in the 20th century.

Many people will quote the scripture, you reap what you sow when they speak about money, but there’s a problem with the theory that money as no LIFE, it is not a seed. Let’s investigate this claim.

The world speaks about seed money it speaks of investing money and receiving a return on your investment. So when you give seed money in the world, the giver expects to gain interest on his money, that’s why he’s giving it.

So when people start asking you to sow many, ask them what is the terms of your investment and that you would like that back in cash.

Seed money, sometimes known as seed funding or seed fund, is a form of securities offering in which an investor purchases part of a business. The term seed suggests that this is a very early investment, meant to support the business until it can generate cash of its own, or until it is ready for further investments. Seed money options include friends and family funding, angel funding, and crowdfunding. re: Wikipedia

1. When you study seed(s) in the bible, you’ll find various things that are seeds. The Word of God is the seed. There is no scripture that tells you money is a seed.

2. When you study money in the bible, the bible teaches us about investing, giving, loaning and being a good steward, it never tells us to sow.

3. When you study sowing/planting of money, the biblical conversation goes like this:

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth (I sowed, I planted, I buried): lo, there thou hast that is thine.

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury (interest).

We see that the servant that sowed money was called a wicked and slothful and told him that he should have invested the money.

The seed is the foundation, it goes through a process called germination and germination starts when the seed receives water.

The word of  God germinates, takes root and grows. You can love the Word of God. You can plant the Word of God. You can share the Word of God. It grows and grows.

The beauty of any seed is that the seed must go through a process. The seed must be planted, then as the seed is watered, then it germinates and grows. The seed grows, leaving its original state and grows into maturity, while multiplying seeds through growth.

Money cannot go through a germinating process, can you water it and the seed begins to grow. The only way to increase your money, their money, anybody money is through giving, investing, savings, etc.

There is no biblical foundation for calling money a seed. It sounds good, it’s popular but it’s not biblical

The Word of God is seed and you can love the Word.

Money is not a seed and you shouldn’t love money for the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
