WORSHIPING GOD IN SPIRIT & TRUTH

WORSHIP means:

to kiss the hand to (towards) one, in token of reverence

in the NT by kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication.

TRUTH means:

what is true in any matter under consideration.

what is true in things appertaining to God and the duties of man, moral and religious truth.

the true notions of God which are open to human reason without his supernatural intervention.

the truth as taught in the Christian religion, respecting God and the execution of his purposes through Christ, and respecting the duties of man, opposing alike to the superstitions of the Gentiles and the inventions of the Jews, and the corrupt opinions and precepts of false teachers even among Christians.

that candour of mind which is free from affection, pretence, simulation, falsehood, deceit.

When the bible speaks of worshiping God in truth, what is the bible saying. Worshiping and honoring God’s truth, God’s word is Him and we must worship in truth.

How do you reverence God in spirit and in truth? By moving in spirit and speaking truth, living and loving truth.

John  4:23  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

John  4:24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1 Corinthians  14:25  And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
